Theories and Critical Issues Behind an

The posthuman represents an anthropological mutation with respect to man as we know him.

At the basis of this is the hybridization with the machine and the new multimedia technologies, and a whole series of specific theories. Theories not without critical aspects.

On the one hand, we have an actual, concrete anthropological modification that we will analyze and that is already in the order of things, given what is a real incorporation of certain technologies into human life and its neuro-cognitive sphere.

On the other hand, a theorization made of biology, neuroscience and philosophy.
On this basis, we will also highlight the critical issues, and what from our point of view are real misconceptions that animate the posthumanist theoretical paradigm.

The Posthuman: The Scenario
The affirmation of the posthuman occurs under very specific historical and existential conditions.

We have repeatedly reported in our articles about a new form of reality, which goes beyond the material world as we know it. Media technology, cybernetics, information technology, as a new world made of a new matter, a new world elaborated in other worlds.

A play on words that gives a good idea of how in reality even this great historical, anthropological as well as technological transformation was the result of intuitions and operations that have their place in an esoteric, magical, metaphysical field.

The new reality surpasses

That of heavy industry and heavy matter, and embraces that of subtle production and subtle matter. The new reality replaces and adds to the world of plants, rivers, lakes, mountains of antiquity, and then hydrocarbons, steam engines, industrial power plants, telephones and televisions of modernity: silicon, chips, connections, cabling, cyberspace, metaverse, etc. .

At the same time, we are moving from scientific-philosophical conceptions based on materialism, which in turn had replaced the sacred conceptions of life, to new models of thought that reflect the new post-material, dematerialised perception of reality.

Postmodern philosophies, neuroscience and quantum physics, combined with a re-emergence of Eastern disciplines, but also of new forms of Gnosticism and operative magic supported by psychedelic drugs and computer and technological devices, body art, cyberpunk literature, sci-fi, body- horror and dystopian cinema: this is the scenario with which the posthuman asserts itself!
